Raf Simons
The back is the largest flat surface of our body, out of our arms reach and perpetually exposed. Since the 19th century, fashion has taken advantage of this anatomical feature to cover the back with various and varied patterns.Belgian designer Raf Simons uses his memories in his fashion. On the sailor collar of this coat - whose shape evokes childhood - he places a photograph of his parents, Alda Beckers and Jaak Simons, on holiday in the early 1960s.
