Azzedine Alaïa
The short and fitted dress, with its ample skirt reminiscent of a skater's skirt, is one of Alaïa's best-known in the 2000s.
The leopard patterns on this dress are reminiscent of the famous ocellates in the winter 1991-92 collection. If these last knitted knits were naturalistic, those of this dress are treated in pink, white and black.
Like some of the virtuoso dresses of the 1930s, the anamorphic motif adapts to the anatomy. This sophisticated mesh shrinking technique emphasizes and refines the waist by tapering the patterns.
