Elsa Schiaparelli (1890-1973) founded her fashion house in 1927 in Paris. Close to the artists Salvador Dali and Jean Cocteau, she created a surrealist game with clothing. His first creations were trompe-l'oeil tie sweaters. She also gives to the back a new place thanks to bare backs and overturned clothes or patterns, worn back to front.

In 2012, Schiaparelli relaunched the Italian seamstress's signature by creating this evening dress with a necklace of trompe-l'oeil embroidered crystals that two hand shadows close on the neck.
