Cinema Festival - Lady Oscar

The Palais Galliera Film Festival returns with a programme inspired by the exhibition Fashion in the 18th Century. A Fantasized Legacy. On Thursday 11 June, the museum invites visitors to enjoy a visit of the exhibition, followed by a screening of the French-Japanese film Lady Oscar, the big-screen adaptation of the cult manga The Rose of Versailles.

Synopsis

A young woman is swept up in the turmoil of history in the years leading up to the French Revolution. Raised by her father as a boy and appointed officer in the Queen’s personal guard, she is perceived as a man by the Court… but not by her childhood friend, for whose love she ultimately sides with the people.
