The museum invites you to discover its architectural heritage through two events scheduled on 14 and 15 May.
On Saturday 14 May 2022 from 6.30 pm, the Palais Galliera will be illuminated for the European Night of the Museums, thanks to the installation "Mise en Lumière II" by the ENTER collective.
In this immersive experience, the visitor is invited to follow a white line of light and sound from the square of the Palais Galliera to discover the architectural heritage of the museum. The façade and the statues of the garden are drawn and distorted. The sound is induced by the direction of the light and continues in the space. The spectator is carried away by luminous signs and sound waves that invite him to walk to the staircase, before entering the museum free of charge to visit the exhibitions.
Throughout the evening, from 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm, students from the Louvre School of Art History, Fashion and Architecture will welcome visitors to the exhibitions and to the museum garden. They will present, in a sensitive and singular manner, a work, a section or a theme related to each of these worlds (15 to 20 minutes).

On the morning of Sunday 15 May, the Palais Galliera will be transformed into a sports course as part of "Run my City".
A perfect blend of sport and heritage, this cultural race takes its participants off the beaten track, through some of the most mythical places, museums and monuments in Paris, all punctuated by entertainment.
To vary the pleasures, two new routes of 9 and 15 kilometres are to be discovered this year, with a passage through the peristyle and the inner courtyard of the Palais Galliera.
