ABOUT OUR COLLECTIONS

Dear visitors,

After the success of "A History of Fashion", our second collections tour will open to the public in June 2023.

This next collections tour will be an opportunity for you to discover a new history of fashion, from the 18th century to the present day, through our exceptional collections presented in a new theme dedicated to the body in motion.

The link between fashion and sport will be the subject of the second display of this new collections tour, echoing the Olympic Games that will be held in Paris in 2024.

For our exhition "The 50s, Fashion in France,1947-1957", the Grand Action cinema is screening a selection of films highlighting the take of 50s cinema on the golden age of French haute couture.

From Howard Hawks’ Gentlemen Prefer Blondes to Jean Boyer’s Fernandel the Dressmaker, French fashion has always been an inspiration for filmmakers. This selection of 16 films paints a picture of the style and elegance of a symbolic era which established Paris as the capital of fashion and filmmaking.

In partnership with la MISSION CINÉMA City of Paris Department, PARIS MUSÉES et LE GRAND ACTION.
