ABOUT OUR COLLECTIONS

Dear visitors,

After the success of "A History of Fashion", our second collections tour will open to the public in June 2023.

This next collections tour will be an opportunity for you to discover a new history of fashion, from the 18th century to the present day, through our exceptional collections presented in a new theme dedicated to the body in motion.

The link between fashion and sport will be the subject of the second display of this new collections tour, echoing the Olympic Games that will be held in Paris in 2024.

MODCAST: listen to the Palais Galliera's collections

The Palais Galliera is pleased to announce its collaboration with "Des Habits et nous", the podcast that gives clothes a voice. Together, they invite you to discover the MODCAST special edition which highlights the collections of the Palais Galliera.

The Palais Galliera has nearly 200,000 works in its collections. In this special edition of the "Des Habits et Nous" podcast, Modcast invites you to discover the most astonishing and emblematic of them.... by giving them a voice.

The series includes 12 episodes, the first of which is devoted to Elsa Schiaparelli's famous shoe hat, which joined the Palais Galliera collections in 2013.

This episode is already available on the "Des Habits et Nous" channel (to be found HERE in French only) and on all listening platforms: Apple podcast, Spotify, Deezer, Castbox, Amazon… Stay tuned for the next episodes soon!

> About "Des Habits et Nous"

Created by Hélène Altman, "Des Habits et Nous" is the podcast that analyses fashion in its most concrete form, its wardrobe.

"Des Habits et Nous" gives voice to the timeless pieces of our wardrobe: the white shirt, the bra, the jeans or the trench-coat... Each piece, male or female, is studied to understand how it has evolved over time and in society, and what its representation of the human condition is.

Outside of the trends and immediacy of fashion, the floor is given to the garment itself, which talks about its life and questions its own future, based on anecdotes that go back to its birth and all its evolutions.
