Martin Margiela has always paid particular attention to the wearing of clothing. The "lean" collection of spring-summer 2005 is a major example. The blouse dress is turned 90 degrees here. It is worn horizontally in a skirt; its bodice falling on one side, the hem falling on the other.

This silhouette was worn over trousers, a silver sequined belt and court shoes covered with silver sequins "after party" (industrially pre-destructed). Bare chest, only the mannequin's crossed arms hid his chest.
