Of all the creators, Azzedine has always paid a strong tribute to the bodies of women. Moulded in stretch jersey, her dresses, tops, suits and leggings, which were so popular in the 1980s, are celebrated by women all over the world.

Worn by Bettina Graziani during the Yves Saint Laurent fashion show in March 1990, this suit, a combination of trousers and headband, fetish accessory of the decade, is made of jacquard jersey with Koranic calligraphy friezes: "There is no other god but Allah, Mohammed is God's messenger".
