ABOUT OUR COLLECTIONS

Dear visitors,

After the success of "A History of Fashion", our second collections tour will open to the public in June 2023.

This next collections tour will be an opportunity for you to discover a new history of fashion, from the 18th century to the present day, through our exceptional collections presented in a new theme dedicated to the body in motion.

The link between fashion and sport will be the subject of the second display of this new collections tour, echoing the Olympic Games that will be held in Paris in 2024.

On July 6, 2017, under the glass roof of the house he has lived in since 1987, Azzedine Alaïa presented her new haute couture collection. The parade was opened and closed by Naomi Campbell, whom he considered his adopted daughter. In all, 68 silhouettes make up this fashion show, the first in 6 years and the couturier's last. Because Azzedine Alaïa disappeared on November 18, 2017.

This evening dress is the last passage in the collection. The cut of her bodice with pointed shoulders and her sequined black velvet fabric evoke the haute couture of the 1930s that Alaïa loved. Skilfully split on the thigh, the virtuoso skirt is made of velvet skittles inlaid with thirty-one black python bands riveted with silver.

This masterpiece is Azzedine Alaïa's ultimate tribute to the glory of women.
