ABOUT OUR COLLECTIONS

Dear visitors,

After the success of "A History of Fashion", our second collections tour will open to the public in June 2023.

This next collections tour will be an opportunity for you to discover a new history of fashion, from the 18th century to the present day, through our exceptional collections presented in a new theme dedicated to the body in motion.

The link between fashion and sport will be the subject of the second display of this new collections tour, echoing the Olympic Games that will be held in Paris in 2024.

For spring-summer 2019, Rick Owens is inspired by the model of Tatline's monument to the Third International (1919-1920), a reproduction of which is kept at the Musée national d'art moderne, centre Georges Pompidou, the centrepiece of the exhibition "U.A.M. une aventure moderne 1929-1958" in 2018.

Rick Owens always has one theme per season which he applies to his men's and women's fashion show. This season is entitled "Babel". The structure of the tower can be seen in the large silver steel bracelets. The sweatshirt worn as a headdress characterises the diversion of the garment, while the dress with its gaping cuts and its motifs are faithful to the designer's brutalist aesthetic.
