Hermès
The black varnished Hermes crocodile bag belonged to Oona Chaplin (1925-1991, née Oona O'Neill, daughter of the author Eugene O'Neill and fourth and last wife of Charlie Chaplin). She married Charlin Chaplin on 16 June 1943 and had 8 children with him.
This is a very fine example of a Hermès jewellery case. Its prestigious provenance makes it a unique specimen. In the photograph transmitted by Patricia Chaplin, one can see Oona Chaplin holding this bag in her hand. In 2016, the Vogue Paris Foundation has already enabled the acquisition of a Delphos dress by Mariano Fortuny that was worn by Oona Chaplin.
