For the autumn-winter 1994-95 collection, Martin Margiela chose to divide his collection into five groups, whose elements he mixes to compose his outfits.

Group IV", of which this necklace is a part, gathers clothes and accessories handmade in the "artisanal" workshop from new or old clothes, objects and accessories. This recovery has been a constant since Martin Margiela's second collection, autumn-winter 1989-90, until this "artisanal" line was elevated to the rank of haute couture collection in 2006.
