Martin Margiela, for the Fall-Winter 2000-01 collection, develops the garment expansions discussed in the previous season.

These jeans are enlarged in Italian size 78 and are adapted to the waist by a clever fold that a clip holds in the middle at the front.

All these garments are so large that they float around the body. For Martin Margiela, the enlargement represents "the challenge of creative expression". This change of scale means that the factories producing the garments have to reprogram their computers for these enlargements.
