Martin Margiela's autumn-winter 2005-06 collection is presented in the form of a newspaper "MMM, a newspaper only for this season" inspired by tabloids and tabloid newspapers.

A subject entitled "Saved by his dogs" features one of the season's most striking ideas, inspired by the natural gesture of a woman who protects herself from the rain by pulling her mackintosh up over her head. This trench coat of a new kind is worn with this pink crepe skirt with artificially burnt hem.

Defects and accidents are present in all the collections of Martin Margiela, who uses many pieces recovered in his "handcrafted" line. However, this is one of the first times that the designer has artificially destroyed one of his garments to use this wear and tear as a decoration.
