Balenciaga
These fake fur spindle pants are an exceptional piece of Cristobal Balenciaga's work. Indeed, better known for his sophisticated evening dresses and learned tailors, we know less about the couturier for his production of more everyday clothes devoted to leisure or sport, rarely preserved.
Entirely made of fluffy wool jersey, this bobbin was worn in parade with a sleeveless tunic buttoned in brown wool and a large parallelepipedic hat. It underlines the modernity of the Spanish fashion designer who will close his house to the next collection, Spring-Summer 1968.
