Dance performance in the 'Love Brings Love' exhibition

The students of Marie Leca's contemporary dance class - Alice Barrière, Andrea Berlioz, Anna Beynel, Romane Claudel, Lisa Daviet, Agathe Ertzbischoff, Jeanne Foujanet, Leslie Hugnet, Vincent Joseph, Maya Nammour, Jade Pellen - are preparing a series of sensual and delicate dance performances celebrating love around the creations presented in the exhibition "Love Brings Love, the tribute to Alber Elbaz. Organised in partnership with the CRR (Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional) of Paris, this poetic event will take place on Thursday 31 March during the "Love Brings Love" exhibition night.

"For this performance, I chose to work with two materials. The first echoes the title of the exhibition "Love brings Love", the beauty of the creations and the tribute paid to Alber Elbaz. It unfolds in two forms, the duo and the solo. Each of them allows a certain intimacy and sensuality to appear. The second material takes up the energy of the fashion show, it uses the walk as a primary, dynamic element, where one comes to expose the body, to deploy a presence, to give to see. - Marie Leca

> About the CRR

The CRR (Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional) of Paris is a cultural establishment of the City of Paris which is part of the network of Parisian conservatories and offers specialised teaching in dance, music and theatre. It offers an extremely wide range of training with more than 70 main disciplines and preparation for higher education. These classes work in synergy on numerous artistic projects.

It welcomes 1750 pupils and students supervised by 300 teachers; in terms of disciplines, its educational offer is the widest in France and its reputation has been built on teaching excellence adapted to the expectations of future amateurs as well as future professionals of the performing arts. Internationally renowned, it attracts an average of 400 foreign students representing 41 different nationalities.

With a teaching staff (26 teachers and 12 accompanying musicians) of great artistic and pedagogical experience, the CRR's dance department offers multidisciplinary teaching and a complete high-level training. The establishment is distinguished by the volume of hours offered and the specificity of certain courses (boys' classes, adage and character dance classes, repertoire, improvisation and composition workshops, individual follow-up, etc.). Guest teachers and choreographers occasionally join the teaching team. Since its creation, the dance department has trained many students who have gone on to enter higher education and are now working in French and international companies.

The CRR's dance department offers dual academic/artistic classes and classes accessible to post-baccalaureate students. The course consists of three cycles: an initial cycle in the following two disciplines: classical dance and contemporary dance, a specialised cycle and a preparatory cycle for higher education (CPES) in the following three disciplines: classical dance, contemporary dance and jazz dance.
