ABOUT OUR COLLECTIONS

Dear visitors,

After the success of "A History of Fashion", our second collections tour will open to the public in June 2023.

This next collections tour will be an opportunity for you to discover a new history of fashion, from the 18th century to the present day, through our exceptional collections presented in a new theme dedicated to the body in motion.

The link between fashion and sport will be the subject of the second display of this new collections tour, echoing the Olympic Games that will be held in Paris in 2024.

THE PALAIS GALLIERA's APP

The Palais Galliera has developed an application to guide its visitors through its collections and exhibitions.

The Palais application provides visitors with practical information to help them prepare for their visit, and offers a range of content enhanced by a large number of photo and video archives. This new digital tool is organised into four visit routes:
- A "Collections" tour allows visitors to understand the history of fashion through twenty iconic pieces from the museum's collections;
- An "Architecture" tour invites visitors to discover the museum, both from the inside and the outside;
- A "History of the Museum" tour traces the history of the museum and the development of its collections through a chronology of key dates;
- A "History of the exhibitions" tour explores the museum's archives through a selection of its most important exhibitions.

In addition to these 4 mediation offers, it will be supplemented from time to time by exhibition visits.

This application can be downloaded for free on Android and iOS, in French and English.

> A new digital tour dedicated to Frida Kahlo

In order to guide the public through the exhibition "Frida Kahlo, beyond appearances", Paris Musées has developed a digital tour that complements and enriches the Palais Galliera application.

This new tour, specially dedicated to Frida Kahlo, retraces the life and extraordinary style of the artist, focusing on the most emblematic pieces that visitors can discover during their visit. The Frida Kahlo tour also includes an audio-description system for the visually impaired.

This tour is available for free, in French, English and Spanish. Discover it from 15 September 2022 by downloading the Palais Galliera application.
