ABOUT OUR COLLECTIONS

Dear visitors,

After the success of "A History of Fashion", our second collections tour will open to the public in June 2023.

This next collections tour will be an opportunity for you to discover a new history of fashion, from the 18th century to the present day, through our exceptional collections presented in a new theme dedicated to the body in motion.

The link between fashion and sport will be the subject of the second display of this new collections tour, echoing the Olympic Games that will be held in Paris in 2024.

The Sohrâb Chitan company celebrates the end of the "Love Brings Love" exhibition

@emmaderrier_DETER_CieS.Chitan_Aerobic

On 7 July 2022, the Palais Galliera will have the Sohrâb Chitan company dance to celebrate the end of the exhibition "Love Brings Love. The tribute show to Alber Elbaz".

> About the Sohrâb Chitan compagnie

In 2013, the dancer and choreographer Sohrâb Chitan created the company. The same year, he started the creation of his choreography, VOYAGES I II III, which he created at the Centre National de la Danse (CND, Pantin) and presented in 2015 and 2016.

In January 2017, he began the creation of Dhikr, in co-production with the IDDAC and the city of Bordeaux, and supported by the OARA. It benefits from a residency with the choreographer Yuval Pick at the CCN of Rilleux-la-Pape.

In 2017, the company also created Faune, a show choreographed and directed by Benjamin Pech, star dancer at the Opéra national de Paris.

In November 2020, the company created Fin de Journée, presented in 2022.

Since 2021, the company has represented and walked the catwalk for Louis Gabriel Nouchi during Men's Fashion Week or during performances.

In April 2021, Sohrâb Chitan reunites the company's dancers for the creation of the dance video DETER. He has been appointed as a partner artist for the city of Le Bouscat for the 2021/2022 season.

Since 2016, the Sohrâb Chitan Company is in residence at the Bastide Benauge animation centre in Bordeaux.

> About 'DETER'

On 7 July 2022, the Sohrâb Chitan company will give an exceptional performance of its show DETER, created in 2021.

DETER is short for "determined". "The company's aim is to shorten the language so that the bodies can exult. Choreographer Sohrâb Chitan brings together eight dancers from different backgrounds. Individually and collectively, they highlight the need for movement, the primitive need for a felt and shared rhythm.

The show takes place on 7 July 2022, in the courtyard of the Palais Galliera, between 8pm and 8.30pm.

The event is free :
