Since its creation in 2015, Paris Musées OFF has been offering a year-round programme of new and free events for young people in the network of Paris museums, mixing styles, arts, techniques and eras. Curious or connoisseurs are invited to come and discover the exhibitions in a different way and to share a unique and unusual experience at nightfall.
The Palais Galliera is hosting this original evening on the occasion of the opening of the Vogue Paris 1920-2020 exhibition. During the evening, spectators are invited to discover the new exhibition and to attend a concert by LA FEMME.
A pioneering and innovative French pop band since 2010, an essential reference celebrated here and elsewhere, LA FEMME is back with a vengeance, "Foutre le bordel" to paraphrase one of the fifteen tracks of Paradigmes, a third album that will finally warm up the winter of 2021. After the success of "Psycho Tropical Berlin" (2013) - crowned with a Victoire de la musique - and "Mystère" (2016), both critically acclaimed gold records, LA FEMME continues its path towards independence with the independent distributor IDOL and establishes the new "Paradigmes" on a record of unheard-of variety, crazy ambition and dizzying richness.
It is through the voices of children that La Femme releases "Trop de peine", the first new track on the reissue of the album "Paradigmes", to be released on October 15. Against the backdrop of the back-to-school season and the urgent awareness of the ecological peril, "Trop de peine" brings an additional, alternative voice to raise awareness among the old and new generations of the harmful impact we have on the planet.
After the release of the album "Paradigmes" last April, 3rd album acclaimed by the French and international critics, La Femme extends the album with new tracks and alternative versions. In the wake of this release, "Paradigmes: le film", the first full-length film by LA FEMME, will be released, bringing together all the clips from the album, interspersed with fictional sequences animated by Cesar Domboy and Romain Brau, taking up the great theme of the TV show, which is as crazy and plural as the music of LA FEMME.
Founded by Condé Nast in 1920, Vogue Paris is the oldest French fashion magazine still in print today, and the only title in the group to bear the name of a city rather than a country. The exhibition highlights the talent of the great illustrators and particularly the photographers that Vogue Paris promoted: Hoyningen-Huene, Horst, Bourdin, Klein, Newton, Lindbergh, Testino, Inez & Vinoodh... have produced their most beautiful pages.
Within the chronological tour, several focuses pay tribute to the magazine's faithful accomplices. The exhibition evokes the exceptional collaborations with the great couturiers, Yves Saint Laurent on the one hand and Karl Lagerfeld on the other, whom Vogue Paris has supported throughout their careers. The Vogue woman is notably embodied by Catherine Deneuve and Kate Moss, who have posed for the largest number of covers.
