Gucci by Alessandro Michele
This silhouette, entirely made of bishop's purple Lurex lamé, is embellished with golden pine cones with green foliage inspired by the drawings of the ancient grotesques. This richness of materials is added to a real search for shapes, demonstrated by the wide hat with its raised pass at the back, inspired by fishermen's hats. The back is fully embroidered with an impressive radiant motif, overlooking two birds facing each other surrounded by pearls.
This new donation illustrates the theatrical, delirious and cultivated aesthetic of Gucci, staged since 2015 by its artistic director Alessandro Michele.
