FAMILY ACTIVITIES

Discover

Tours-workshops

Between 2 and 4 hours depending on the activity

Hand-in-hand with a visual artist, young children (4-6 years old), older children (8-12 years old) and families (children and adults) discover the exhibition itineraries through 'let's sketch' tours, tours-activities and creative workshops.

Family weekends

All year round, the Palais Galliera invites children and their parents to discover the museum in a different way through a free programme specially imagined for families. These events offer young and old alike an opportunity to have fun together during guided tours and creative workshops.

The next family weekend will take place on 21 and 22 June 2025.

Discover the "children-families" descriptive labels

These short texts presented in the shape of fans (for Fashion on the Move #3) or hats (for Stephen Jones, Chapeaux d'artiste), accessible from the age of 7, have been specially created so that families can discover the works freely at their own pace. They are entertaining, informative tools that feature alongside selections of items and iconic sections of exhibitions to help visitors find out more about the key concepts of fashion and the tour itself.

At home

Practical information

A range of services is available on-site to ensure family comfort:

  • A baby changing table is available in the toilets on the ground floor (level -1) of the museum;
  • Pushchairs are accepted inside the museum. The lift provides access to the two exhibition levels;
  • Lockers are available on each level of the museum.

The Palais Galliera Square, accessible from Avenue du Président Wilson, invites you to continue your visit with a picnic or snack. Here, you will discover the outdoor sculptures that adorn the garden - such as Faune jouant avec une panthère (Faun Playing with a Panther) and L'Enfance de Bacchus (The childhood of Bacchus) - and the Palais facade. If the weather is bad, you may take shelter under the porticoes overlooking the garden, on either side of the museum.

As of springtime, the ephemeral restaurant "Les Petites Mains" will definitely delight young and old alike on leaving the museum or after a stroll through the garden.

Please note that the museum can only be accessed through the main entrance located at 10, avenue Pierre Ier de Serbie, Paris 16th.
