Groups

Adults, students, school pupils, come along and discover the Palais Galliera exhibitions through a self-guided or guided tour, tailored specifically for your group.

Adult and student groups

Groups, up to 18 persons maximum, must book a timeslot for their visit. Each group must pay a booking fee and admission fee (view the group Price section).

Two types of group tours are available:

Guided tour
1h30 - 18 persons maximum
The guided tour is led by one of the museum's guides in French or in English on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and some Fridays. These tours are accessible for anyone aged 15 and over.
-> Booking: galliera.reservations@paris.fr

Self-guided tour
Established groups, of 18 persons maximum, may visit the exhibitions on their own accompanied by their group leader (such as a tour guide, an authorized interpreter guide, a teacher with their pupils).

Self-guided tour timeslots are available to purchase online: from Tuesdays to Saturdays at 3:30pm and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 11am (on Saturdays, an extra timeslot at 10am is available).

-> Booking

Other timeslots are available for groups entitled to reduced rates or free admission (such as: students, pupils, social and disability sector groups).
-> Booking: galliera.reservations@paris.fr

Please note

To ensure no inconvenience is caused to individual visitors and other group visitors, external guides must equip each member of their group with audiophones (the Palais Galliera audiophones are reserved exclusively for the museum's guides).

School and extra-curricular groups

The Palais Galliera's educational programme is designed for all school extra-curricular and student groups. It is part of the artistic and cultural education programme, which promotes discovering works of art, artistic practices and acquiring knowledge. The Palais Galliera offers a range of educational approaches (guided tours, self-guided tours, workshops in small groups) and a host of resources related to the exhibitions on show.

Tour-activity
1h30 - whole class (in 2 half-groups) or a group of 12 children from a leisure centre, 2 adults accompanying them
Participants are led by a cultural mediator and discover the iconic items of the tour of one of the two exhibitions on show in an entertaining, primary school-focused way.

The activities on offer in this section focus on the two exhibitions currently on show.

If there are more than 18 participants, the group must be split in two, with a 30-minute gap between each group.

Terms and conditions

Payment is to be made in cash, cheque or bank card on-site on the day of the tour or, in the case of a State administration/local authority voucher, by deferred payment reserved for public institutions and organizations. The voucher must be sent to galliera.reservations@paris.fr at least 48 hours before the tour.

Booking cancellations must be made by mail, at least 48 hours before the tour. If cancellation is made less than 48h before the tour or activity, payment is due.

Drawings and sketches are authorized on mobile mediums on an individual basis as long as they do not require the use of large equipment (in particular easels) or techniques other than dry ones (in particular paints) [Article 41 of the City of Paris Museum Tour Regulation].

Only drawings and sketches made on A4 mediums with pencils are authorized at the Palais Galliera.

Based on the scenography (spaces may be confined), only groups of 1 to 18 persons are authorized to draw/sketch, at a time, and must make sure they spread themselves out around the museum spaces (so as not to block visitor traffic) and must comply with safety requirements given by reception and security staff.

Groups may picnic in the Palais Galliera Square, adjacent to the museum, when the weather is fine.

It is accessible via Avenue du Président Wilson (by walking along the museum via Rue Brignole or Rue de Galliera). If the weather is bad, groups may take shelter under the museum's covered wings.

Guided tours for school groups are mainly available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 10am and 4pm, as well as some Fridays. Group prices are specified on the booking form and may be viewed here.
