Givenchy by Clare Waight Keller
The passage n°52 of the spring-summer 2019 Givenchy ready-to-wear collection by Clare Weight Keller is representative of the designer's style. The asymmetrical dress is constructed using pleats, a technique dear to Waight Keller's heart, a technique already seen at Chloé, for which she is artistic director between 2011 and 2017. The harmony of subtle shades, between honey and very pale mint green, is another key to reading her work, as is the inclination for the aesthetics of the 80s, visible through the large frontal pleated flounce that adorns the front of the bodice or the taste for the 30s, with the bias technique.
Finally, the accessories that complete this ensemble, decorated with amethyst and prehnite stones, are faithful to the discretion that the British designer has always shown.
