The Palais Galliera is a member of the network of City of Paris museums, which is managed by the Paris Musées public institution.
Our missions
The Palais Galliera's scientific and cultural project for 2023-2028 focuses on five themes:
- to promote exceptional heritage collections;
- to deliver an ambitious artistic and cultural agenda that meets the new challenges of 21st-century museums;
- to attract new audiences and forge visitor loyalty;
- to sustainably maintain and renovate the built heritage of museums;
- to continue to modernize the way the institution is managed.

1977 - The Musée de la Mode et du Costume de la Ville de Paris (Paris Museum of Fashion and Costume) is inaugurated in the Palais Galliera
1994 - The relocated storerooms are inaugurated
2009 - 2013 and 2018 - 2020 - Major renovation
