Live video from the VOGUE PARIS 1920-2020 exhibition at the Palais Galliera

As part of the "Vogue Paris 1920-2020" exhibition, the Palais Galliera and Gallica (BnF) invite you to roam through a few example of Vogue magazine from 1920 to 1940, housed by the BnF (French National Library) and available online via Gallica. An opportunity to discover some of the most famous illustrators of the periodical, like Georges Lepape, Helen Dryden and George Plank, and to analyse the role photography played and how it rivalled with drawing. Women gradually breaking free from norms is also portrayed to offer a new take on how modernity is perceived and to reflect female readers' desire for something different by bringing the models outside into the open air.
