The Palais Galliera podcast
Following on from a first series dedicated to artists' homes and workshops, Paris Musées has recently published new audio journeys, entitled "From the collector to the museum". The one devoted to the Palais Galliera and to its collections is included in this second series and was given the name "Fashion, from wardrobe to museum".
This podcast, imagined like an invitation to take a trip behind the scenes of the Palais Galliera to discover its collections, answers the following questions: What does a garment say about us? How does it find its way into the museum? In an entertaining, poetic way, young audiences discover styles, types of clothing, ways of dressing, and even the way fashion is collected through masterpieces hosted in the Paris Museum of Fashion, for every period, from the "robe volante" or sacque gown, iconic of the 18th century, to creations from the greatest couturiers.
