Robe "Eleonora", Mariano Fortuny

A study of the Fortuny house's sales books, kept mainly in the archives of the Museo Fortuny / Palazzo Fortuny in Venice, reveals that the famous "Eleonora" dress - as Mariano Fortuny himself called it - has been sold in multiple copies to personalities all over the world.
This one belonged to Alice Ellen Terry, known as Ellen Terry (1847-1928), a famous English actress in Shakespearean theatre.
