Azzedine Alaïa
Faithful to her admiration for Madeleine Vionnet or Madame Grès, Azzedine Alaïa has always made the structure of her models their only decoration. Although rare in his work, discreet embroideries sometimes punctuate his collections.
This is the case of this jacket as short as a page jacket, worn on a white collar shirt, an allusion to the order and rectitude of the Sisters of Notre-Dame-de-Sion who were admired by the future couturier in Tunis. Alaïa will always remember that he found a "sexy side" to the immaculate white of their collar or cornet, as well as their sandals showing the tanned foot up to the ankle, "like a sock".
